After October 21

In Matthew 24:36, Jesus says that no man will know the day or the hour of his return. And yet, Harold Camping of Family Radio has predicted that the final end of the world will come on October 21, 2011. I do believe there are many sincere followers of Camping and this prediction. Yet, given various passages in Scripture, I believe they are in error to place their hope in a specific date as they have.

Camping was so clearly incorrect with his May 21 prediction. And now his October 21st date is soon to be upon us. I can only begin to imagine how difficult this will be for so many, to yet again have this date come and go. As such, I wanted to offer support and counsel to any who are local to Novato, CA. I’d love to have an opportunity to meet with you and seek the Scriptures together with you and help you move forward in Christ and in the truth of his Word. He is coming again, and we must be prepared, and ought to be about his work — even if we don’t know the exact hour of his coming.

Please contact me if this describes you!

In Christ,
Pastor Reid Hankins

P.S. Harold Camping and Family Radio teach a number of other things that are also not supported by the Bible’s Teachings, such as their claim that the church age has ended. I would be happy to discuss any of these matters with you as well.
